Ghee-von-shee

Good morning.

I can't help but feel that onlookers still hold their breath when Riccardo Tisci shows Givenchy designs. So, Ali Stephens in Little Red Riding Hood-chic, and I are here to say: exhale.

Tisci has taken fashion's bastard couture child and made its signature look vampire-chic. Think elegant Demeulemeester, Sleepy Hollow, and the ghost of George Washington. Even Givenchy's F/W 2008 Couture bubblegum-pink pieces are haunting and romantically dramatic by way of subtle nostalgia.

It doesn't hurt that Tisci is one of the few French house designers who consistently sends colour down his runway.
