Corner or Call Girl?

This December, revel in the the bells of Christmas cheer and pending lawsuit.

It appears as though Mattel has lost its fucking mind. And I'm proud.

All of this Dark Knight
buzz has the world's largest toy company blinded by dollar signs. The giant's latest venture, Black Canary Barbie, already has the fundamentalists preaching fire and brimstone.

Christian Voice has spoken out against the doll's S&M style fishnet, leather, and boots, stating "a children's doll in sexually suggestive clothing is irresponsible - it's filth."

Actually, Christians, she is modeled after DC Comic's superheroine Black Canary. As soon as something that is ever-so-slightly feminist comes about, the fundies start hollerin' and talking about crusades. There wouldn't be an issue if Mattel produced Stepford Barbie, when that is clearly an issue within itself.

Black Canary Barbie is set to release in September, which is rather convenient for the holidays and all.

Surely I can't be the ONLY one who thinks she looks good and very Nomi Malone. Haters, they gon' hate.

PS:
I can hear it already: "Parents Sue Mattel for 15 Million, Claiming Black Canary Barbie Influenced Daughter to Prostitute."

America, sweet land of liberty. Pft.
